No spoilers ahead. Without giving away any plot details or spoiling anything about the movie, we will say that Godzilla follows the recent blockbuster trend and features a scene after the end of the credits. For what it’s worth, this was also the case with all the other films in this new shared-monster verse, that started way back in 2014 with the Gareth Edwards-directed film titled just Godzilla. In theory, King of Monsters is a direct sequel to that movie, but it’s really a sequel to the post-credits scene teased by another movie; the 2017 film Kong: Skull Island. The point? These new Godzilla/Kong monster movies are directly setting up the sequels in their post-credits scenes. In Skull Island, glimpses of all four of King of Monsters monsters were seen after the credits rolled. Anyway, while others will be making a beeline for the exit as soon as the credits start on King of Monsters; you’re probably going to want to stay and that seat and get to know the names of the film’s sound design team in order to watch the post-credits scene.
